In Paris there was always a set of magnificent places for visiting which hundred thousand foreign tourists came to the city. Today the situation has not changed at all, and streets of the French capital at any time of the year are full of idle travelers. On our site we had already told about a great number of interesting sights of this nice city, but we do not plan to stop on it. In this note it would be desirable to tell in brief the story of one of the most well-known museums of the world – the Louvre which every year becomes a place of pilgrimage of a huge number of fans of the art coming to Paris to see with their own eyes masterpieces from, perhaps, biggest in the world collection of works of art.

To reach the island on which the fortress is located, you should do a considerable way among various landscapes, sea and rocks. Having appeared on seacoast, the magnificent picture consisting of numerous elements collected in one correct and majestic pyramid of a fortress will open before your sight. To get on island it is necessary to pass about two kilometers on the artificial dam connecting the island fortress with the seacoast.

Many people when France is mentioned imagine Paris with its well-known Tour Eiffel and Champs Elysée. And if the interlocutor says he or she is going to visit France thus without having visited the country’s capital, the most typical remark might be “What do you wish to see there? France is only Paris!” But actually it is the most interesting European country each region of which will necessarily surprise even the most prejudiced tourist. Lyon differs from Nice the way Vladivostok differs from St. Petersburg, and each (even the smallest) French city has the distinctive features inherent only in it.
